PresidentDr. Kulkarni has pioneered the Slum Health Projects of the organization through GuruvaryaLahuji Salve Slum Health Center.Active in Slum and Rural Development work since 1989 and has opted to reside in the slum itself to facilitate the work. He has a pivotal role in designing and implementing many projects for slums students, women and other marginal communities through SPMESM. Associated with many social organizations in the region. He has been honoured with many awards for his dedicated service.

वास्तूचे उद्घाटन
हॉस्पिटलती केंद्रामध्ये सून म्हणून आली. अर्धवट शिक्षण असले तरी तिच्यात काही करण्याची धमक होती. उत्साह होता. जी संधी मिळाली तिने ती आव्हान म्हणून स्वीकारली. आता त्याच सुनेने संशोधन प्रकल्प पूर्ण करून दाखवत केंद्रात नवा उत्साह भरला. वंदना मिलिंद सुरडकर असे तिचे नाव. आज तिच्या यशाने गवसणी घातली असली तरी भुतकाळातली वंदना आठवली की, तिची चिकाटी जिद्द आणि यशाचे दुसरे नाव तेच असावे याची खात्री पटते. गुरुवर्य लहुजी साळवे आरोग्य केंद्राचा प्रारंभीचा काळ होता. मिलिंदनगरमधील घरांशी संपर्क होत होता.
